review 1: I picked up a copy from library to read before I received a copy from author for my niece.Actually not to be funny, I wanted to know the big secret but the premises was sharing a secret with your close friends presuming they'd keep it to themselves. Moral of the story is, tell someone no longer is a secret because most people cannot hold water and spill their guts for real, simply telling the info they heard from the source. but as we know in communication courses, once said, the message becomes distorted or out of proportion, much more or less than what was actually said or shared originally. Will pass copy to niece when I see her this summer and hope she likes it for discussion. She's a reader and writer already like me. she started around nine,I did it at eleven.3.75 st... morears/4
review 2: This book is about a girl who told a csecret to her friend, and her friend told the secret. The baloon on the front cover is symbolic simply because of the more people that was told the secret, it caused the baloon to get bigger and bigger. Most people know that the secret can be changed. Therefore, this would be a great book to read to the class and have a discussion about how secrets can develop. less
