review 1: I enjoyed this book once I got past all the characters. I think Ms. Grace modeled Hailey Dean after herself. Which was not a bad thing. After putting a serial killer in jail on a deasth sentence, Hailey moves to NY to get away from the atrocities she has dealt with. Being a prosecutor who never lost a case, she decides to go to NY to become a psychologist. Two of her patients are found dead with the M.O. of the serial killer who is sitting on death row. The NYPD think she is the one comitting the crimes as a copycat. Hailey doesn't know that the man on death row has been released and is stalking her in NY. This book was pretty good.
review 2: I don't like what I see of Nancy Grace on television; she's grating, irritating, self righteous and really annoyin
... moreg. So when I got The Eleventh Victim to read, I was going to just put it aside, untouched. However, I was desperate for something to read and so I picked it up. And while I snickered to myself about the autobiographical touches here and there, I had to admit that while I would never say it was a book I couldn't put down, it wasn't all that bad. It is a formulaic story, with no surprises EVER, not even at the end. I think she tried to write a good story, and you know it's not any worse than the Harlequin Suspense novels I used to snitch from my mom as teenager. less

I enjoyed the environmentalist subplot (shades of Carl Hiaasen), but the rest was kind of meh.

Not a good book. The author made a cheap attempt to make a book.
