review 1: Me puse a leer Trifulca a la vista porque otro libro de la autora, A la caza del amor, me había gustado muchísimo, sin embargo este no ha estado a la altura. Quizá también ha influido el halo de misterio que rodea a las obras prohibidas y que crea unas expectativas que luego no se cumplen, pero el libro me ha parecido correcto sin más: a ratos ingenioso, a ratos divertido y a veces (las partes del nazismo) totalmente desconcertante.
review 2: I never know how to describe Nancy's wit. Niche? Personal? This is the kind of book where an introduction is really rather necessary for context. Her playful grip on people and their personalities is, I feel, a gift, and is something that a lot of light-hearted fiction tends to lack. There is roundness without too muc... moreh complexity or falling back too hard on stereotypes. Also, it is interesting to see fascism prodded like this, treated so flippantly and treated as though the entire idea is the work of a child, deserving of a pat on the head and going curiously along with it just for fun. Considering what the movement became it's certainly understandable why this book was out of publication for so long. less
