review 1: The author wanted me to try The Chimera Vector because I have read James Rollins and Mr. Farrugia thought I might like his work. The beginning was a little confusing, lots of science and technical terms. The confusion lasted for about the first quarter of the book. Then more things were explained and you had a better understanding of what was happening. The characters were a little hard to relate to at the beginning also. But like any good author, Mr. Farrugia had you rooting for the good guys in no time...well I think they were the good guys. Overall a nice read and I am thinking about picking up part two and giving it a try.
review 2: Magic powers, Super soldiers, intense action and in-depth character building, the book is a treat. The chimera vector takes us
... more on a roller coaster ride, at times reminiscent of homeland, at other times the borne conspiracy. The star of the novel is a female super soldier who fights a shadowy cabal that controls the world. I started reading the book in the morning and before i knew it i was turning the lights on at night so i could keep turning the pages, be warned, the story's slightly addictive ! Recommended reading. less

Explosions, conspiracies, inconsistencies & useless plot devices.
