review 1: Although I enjoyed this story, the second in the series, I didn't enjoy as much as the first. I found that a few things were becoming a bit irritating me, for example, everyone, and I mean almost everyone was very very attractive! So I found this a bit too much. I would have liked the story to have been a bit stronger also. I did enjoy the humour again though, and if Ms Bratcher writes more stories, I do hope she keeps this element in there.I would recommend this if you want a quick, light read.
review 2: Vic has her P.I. business up and running, and is still getting into trouble where she can find it. She and Jason are finally orbiting back to each other after a few months awkwardness due to a shooting and a forced living together situation. Seemingly so w
... moreell that he invites her to a family wedding, where she will meet the whole huge Varner clan for the first time. Right before leaving for New Orleans some pervert breaks into her house but they assume it is a guy who has been harrassing local women. In the big easy Vic meets the big bad ex and unfortunately the ex best friend who is with said ex wife. There is some amazing stuff in here that just makes you warm and happy and I definitely laughed out loud a few times (people on the train looked at me like I was crazy). Then there is a bit that is dark and just sad. Enough to the point that I now kind of question Vic and Jason going forward. So I need that 3rd book now because I need to know what the hell happens to them going forward after all the drama they might not be able to over come this time (even though Vic acts like they can). book 3!!! less
