review 1: What an amazing premise for a charming little collection of short stories! It's available as a free ebook. The premise: Neil Gaiman asked one question per month on Twitter, chose his favourite answer from all that were submitted, and then wrote a short story from that answer. These are the 12 stories he tells. This man's creativity blows my mind every time. There are people who write for a living, and they are quite often good at what they do. They know all the rules, they create an outline and a plot, and have a formula. They have a craft, they learn as they practice their craft, and they can become quite proficient. However, you know they're a writer. That at the end of the day, they are a person doing a job and then going about the rest of their business. And then there a... morere story tellers - those who weave together tales as gentle as breezes or as fierce as tornadoes instinctually; who seem to transcend mortal ability and have stories coursing through their inner being, waiting for the chance to get on paper. Neil Gaiman is one such story teller. They work just as hard as the writers, but have a natural talent that sets them far apart. It's like that scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier where Cap is out jogging around the National Mall and keeps passing Sam Wilson (aka Falcon). Writers are Sam Wilson. Story tellers are the Cap.
review 2: Kitap yazarın, yılın her ayı için, okuyucularına sorduğu bir sorudan yola çıkarak kaleme aldığı hikayelerden oluşuyor. Örneğin; Neil Gaiman sordu:“Şimdiye kadar Şubat ayında başına gelen en ilginç şey nedir?”@TheAstralGypsy yanıtladı:“Sahilde büyükannesinin 50 yıl önce kaybolan kolye ucunu arayan bir kızla tanıştım. Kolye ucubendeydi. Bir önceki şubatta bulmuştum.” Ve bu cevaba istinaden harika bir denizkızı öyküsü yaratılmış. Çizilen resimlerle de masalsı bir hava verilmiş, bayıldım okurken. En ilginci de kitabı okurken sorulara cevap veren okuyucuların twitterdaki isimlerinin yazıyor olması. Böylece cevabı veren kişinin nasıl biri olduğunu görebiliyorsunuz, en azından ben dayanamayıp baktım:) less

Excellent. I might be biased due to birth months - but July was my favorite.
