review 1: This book was definitely the weakest of the trilogy for me. It lacked realism and it was obvious there were loopholes in the game as Gavin, despite his talent for chess and manipulation and planning, is definitely not a supernatural being blessed with the power of ubiquity. Also, the heroine appeared a little too unrealistically stupid and clueless to be believable, and the same goes for her friends (Lisa, as well as the douchebag James). Anyway, I couldn't bring myself to care about the other characters aside from the main couple, if they lived or died, so I can't' say i felt scared reading this. However, the book was worth it for the interactions with the madman hero alone, who's still as fascinating as ever.
review 2: I dont know if I should have hots for t
... morehe hero/villain just like I always have for the bad boy hero or just hate Gavin. This entire book was a rolercoaster of emotion for me.Once I started disliking a character and then again question myself why I dislike them, they are teens they are not experienced and wise enough to be proper then again in a twist my mind says WTF they are teens not stupid they can atleast differentiate between danger and safe, hell if I knw.So though I didnt find the books plot quite original if did fuck with my brain some. And I do have to continue to read the next one....;0 less
