review 1: The Pearl Wars was an amazing book that was filled with action and some romance with a hint of comedy. There were some pieces of the book I felt were dull or slow but the book in a whole made up for it. Even though there were the dull parts, I still found the book entertaining and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved how there is a little bit of everything for everyone in the book. A little bit of romance, a lot of action, and a little bit of comedy. The crazy thing about the book is the ending. It is an unexpected and intriguing ending that makes you not want to stop reading and immediately go to the next book in the series. When I first started to read the book I thought I wouldn't like it, but I’m glad I read it.
review 2: After Divergent and Incarna... morete, I was in need of a great book. I searched long and hard for something to grasp my attention. I went through countless, terrible books, boring, boring boring. (Tithe by Holly Black is the worst book in the history of books. Do not read it. Ever.) Nothing could live up to those two books! However, last night I was reading a book that isn't great, but isn't that bad either. I wasn't really into it, until like, the last few chapter. Rarely does a book surprise me and motivate me to scream... but this one did. Congratulations, Nick James. The Pearls Wars is a good book. I'm counting down the seconds to read book II.
