review 1: I love libraries. I love libraries because I love to read, but don't love to buy books. That cost money and where do you put them all? I was very grateful then when this past April the local library took my request to purchase this book. I immediately placed a hold on it and the waiting game began. And I waited and waited and waited. I read a ton of books. Still this one book remained on order.Eventually, earlier this month, the book started to be processed. The library had purchased the book and had it in its grasps. After they finished their magical library rituals, I would finally be able to continue the wacky journey of these insanely intelligent high schoolers who may or may not have magic powers in a world that may or may not have supernatural insanity.I checked my ac... morecount though and somehow I got bumped down from first in line to fourth. It upset me for a second, until I realized that it's a free book they bought me. Plus I had already waited half a year, I could wait a few more weeks. I used the library's website "Ask a Librarian" feature to try and figure out what happened. It's a mystery, and I want it to be solved for me. That only resulted in me getting bumped up from fourth place to third. Frustrating, but hey, I'm not a party of the IlluminIbrary. The mystery in Morning Glories continues too. With it being the beginning of their "Second Season" there's a big reveal that pulls back the curtain a bit on the mystery, but of course not all the way. It's alright and interesting, but I have this feeling that "I'd enjoy this more reading it a second time," and that's a lot of extra work. It's a story told similar to the way Lost is, so if you dig that you'd dig this.Spencer is more upfront about his supernatural insanities though.
review 2: Here we are at Vol 5 of Morning Glories, and any of the reviews I've written could stand in place of this one. Spencer still has all of his plates spinning, an impressive feat. However, the need to resolve some of the mysteries is becoming greater with every page.I shall have to reconsider my art complaint about too many of the characters looking the same. In this volume we get into some identity swap situations, and the close resemblances in the art may very well serve a greater purpose in the story. less

Once more we learn a tiny bit more about what is really going on. Still very compelling.

To cut this short, nothing about said volume makes sense.
