review 1: I can't quite put my finger on why I lost interest in this so quickly. The characters are just a bit too cliche, the tropes are just a bit too predictable, the drama a bit too forced and the intrigue... well, there wasn't enough of an emotional connection to make me interested in the what and why of this story. The set-up is underdeveloped. I honestly thought I missed a page or something because we go from the intro, to meeting the cast, then straight into 'WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!' The building of the drama was both rushed and not fast enough. Weird story with weird unconnected shit going on in it. Tried to like it, but meh.

There wasn't enough going on beyond the desire for answers to hold my attention, and I'm not confident based on the setup that the answers are going to be satisfying. I also wasn't enraptured by the art style, and while this is a small point, what's the deal with a comic book that censors profanity but doesn't mind showing people's eyeballs flying out? I don't get it. less
