review 1: We all wonder how parents cope when their child is snatched from them by a predator. Sarah and Doug lose their some Lockie at the Sydney Agricultural Show. Their pain and suffering is heartbreaking for the reader. Tina is a runaway working as a Prostitute is Kings Cross. She is taken to the home of a man who picks her up for services and discovers a boy under the table. This meeting is life changing for Tina and for Lockie and his family. Tina has guts and character and the author details her in a way that makes the reader sympathetic to her tragic circumstances. She is by far the central character in the book.
review 2: I don't know if I can find the words for this one. It was brilliant. The writing was brilliant. The characters were brilliant. The emotion was
... more palpable, and I literally could not put it down, finishing it in a mere two sittings and reading into the wee hours. I haven't done that in a long while. I loved everything about it. This is the book that inspired me to start writing again. Thank you Nicole for restoring my faith that good writing still exists. less

Hard to keep going at times due to disturbing content. But glad that I did.
