review 1: I have tried reading YA romance novels by Indian authors before but I was left unsatisfied and more than a little frustrated almost every time. So as a rule, I try to steer clear of such books but when this book was recommended to me, I thought of giving it a try considering it was a very short read. I do confess I even hoped that this book might even miraculously cure me of my antagonism towards reading Indian YA romance. No such luck I am afraid since the story started on quite a shaky ground. Wittier conversations that didn’t sound too clichéd and old, would have made for a more engaging start. The writing felt pleonastic at times with a continual shift of tenses and conspicuous grammatical errors. The characters were single-dimensional but with how short the novella ... moreis I won’t hold it against the author. Still, I feel she could have made the characters a bit more mature and strong. Of all the characters, Rachana was my favourite since I quite enjoyed that she kept on dropping Marketing-terms, at the most inappropriate of time, much to her friends’ annoyance. The ending was pretty interesting though and that quite earned an extra star from me. Considering the fact that this is the author’s debut work, I am supportive of the book and offer my best wishes for it.
review 2: An Indian Chick-lit in its truest form. The three friends and their attitude to life befits undergrads as their maturity levels are such.Avanti is a true sensitive portrayal of a young woman in love. Her attitude to Akaash is so unexpected at times, her spontaneity to cry can be a little frustrating and gives you a feeling that she is a weak heroine for a plot.Meenakshi is portrayed as a level-headed friend who talks sense all through and is seen as a character that handles situations and people with tact. A true and caring friend who is selfless and goes to all measures to keep her friends happy.Rachana turns out to me my favorite among the three friends, her reference to Marketing jargon to love situations is a treat and her subtle humor is truly appreciable against the ultra-serious Avanti. Her Indirect Marketing reference to the poem is a classic example that stays. The love blossoming in Avanti's heart could have been more flowery and given more depth rather than a fickle cricket game as there is no reference that Avanti is a cricket freak of sorts. The mission to find if Akaash loves Avanti though unethical as there is a lot of hacking and snooping ends up sweet as this is what technology loopholes are all about. In all it is a pleasant read which brings a smile to your face at several places. less

I loved Rachana and her nature of associating Avanti's love life with various marketing jargons.
