review 1: This was bad. The male was hardly male. He was suppose to be close to forty but sounded and acted like a teenager. Daniella wasn't as bad. For a short story it progressed quite quickly. A clichéd meeting in a bar, a virgin 28y/o, a billionaire, bad banter and you've got your story. Daniella fell for the immature Hayden after their first encounter. He claimed to like it rough but would take it slow for the inexperienced, enticing enigma that is Daniella. Yeah laying it a bit thick there. The story was just so much like FSOG I had to stop reading it for a while. Not a reread, glad it was free, and I'm not looking for more of this writers work.
review 2: This is a fairly short read and is left on a cliffhanger. Whilst it was an easy, uncomplicated, story to read
... more, it just reminded me of so many other books that I have read recently. Hayden is the son and only heir of a billionaire who doesn't do the girlfriend thing but instead has mutually beneficial relationships with women who are in to what he's into - that being that they are willing to be a sub to his Dom. He doesn't particularly like working for his father, an international dealer in Fine Art, and would prefer to be a chef and establish orphanages and hospitals in third world countries but if he did that his father would cut him off without a penny. Daniella is a 28-year-old lecturer in Sociology at a small town college who has yet to lose her virginity decides to go to a bar, on her own, after the boyfriend/work colleague that she was prepared to sleep with decides he's not interested after all and they split up. Boy meets girl, she gets drunk and, after dinner at a nice restaurant, they end up back at his hotel and ..... well then they end up in bed. He decides that he wants a bit more than a one night stand but doesn't want a relationship, although he does shower her with expensive designer outfits - leaving the price tags on of course! - and jewelry that she doesn't want to accept but does. He takes her to a very fancy party which leads to a rather weird thing involving a glass of champagne, some grapes being inserted where fruit has no place being inserted and later removed. Add into the mix that the former boyfriend is determined to undermine our heroine's position at the college especially as they are both hoping to get an up coming promotion which only one of them can get and he's determined to get it. Having said all of that I can't wait for book 2 just to find out what happens next.Till next time ~ Sweets Books(written by ~ Tina - Sweets Books After Hours) less
