review 1: I really enjoyed reading this book, especially the chapter on success in the next 20 years. It will be important to train to become entrepreneurs and not become educated and trained for a job. We are at a time where we need to be training future leaders. There are 14 steps that will help guide us towards this better future for not only us but the world."On the best day of your life, you'll know and live the truth that your happiness is entirely up to you-and controlled entirely by your thoughts and commitments, and nothing else."
review 2: This was the best TJEd book I've read so far. I marked a lot in the book. One of my favorite quotes is found on page 18: 'Get over the taboo of writing in a book! How else are you going to have a conversation with a dead writ
... moreer?'. A point was brought up in this book on the four main allegiances that I thought was interesting and I'd like to share with you. The four allegiances are:1: God/Good/Love. 2: Having/Self/Ego3: Impressing/Others/Insecurity4: Bad/Hate/AngerWhen asked this question, most people would give this answer 'Well the first one!'So why is it that most people are putting their allegiance in the other three? The answer is this : People don't consciously choose their allegiance. This is because of the society they were born into made them believe the the opinions of other's and how well you fit into the worldis everything. The world would have you think that fitting in and basing your appearance on the fake looks on the billboards is more important then who you really are.Another quote is 'When the student is ready, the inspiration appears.'This means to me that you can't force inspiration on someone who is not ready.Think about Di Vinci. What if his mentors tried to make him a inspiring painter before he was ready?Think about all the wonderful paintings we wouldn't have if that happened?C.S Lewis once wrote a essay entitled "The Inner Ring". In this, he cautioned that 'the danger of trying to fit in and be what others want us to be is that there is not end to trying to fit in.'Shakespeare wrote in his play 'Twelfth Night' 'Be not afraid of Greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.'Our generation is and will be all of them.It is time for a generation to change the world. The future depends on YOU. Are you going to make that happen? The world needs you and it needs you now. Are you going to rise up the the challenge? less
