review 1: While the book kept me interested, it's not hard to see behind this work of fiction to clearly see the author's political views. Paranoia reigns supreme behind this right wing author's writing. I have read plenty of Tom Clancy, who is also a conservative, and not thought once that he was pushing an agenda. I like Tom and certain other conservative authors so I thought I'd give Oliver a shot. He had it and I'm done with him. Because he kept me interested in spite of the reason I mentioned, I give him 3 stars. Bah.
review 2: Yes, I did categorize this book as Christian Fiction; it certainly meets the criteria. I'm pretty sure Oliver North won't care. This was the first book I've read by this author and I must say he writes about what I hold near and dear,... more namely God and country. Set in the future, the reader sees how the decisions made by the government today, in tandem with the complacency and apathy of the populace have resulted in the usurpation of freedom and the trampling of the Constitution. Sound bleak, not really; guess Who is ultimately in control? less
