review 2: Here's something to read that has a special appeal to those who've experienced cultural differences growing up. The French are incredibly uptight about how they raise their kids, mostly because they put adults first, children come later if not last on their list. Americans on the other hand put children first and foremost and spend awful amounts of time thinking about the well-being of their children, sometimes in detriment of their own. Now being a mother is a tough balancing act, but we all must find a point where we feel well about ourselves, whether that means letting the kids cry it out for a couple of hours until "they learn to behave" or not. It's definitely worth a read! less
