review 1: I have a big problem with the old days... I do not like the books that have action happening somewhere in the past, especialy 1800's .I like my man to be well groomed, the characters to have baths and so on. As for this book, it was averege, lots of things that are missing, in the action and in the building of the characters. But, for a first book, it was ok, better than expected. I finished the first one, and jumpeds to the second. Not for the extraordinary of the book but for the lacking of another one better.
review 2: I got this as a free Friday nook book a while back, so I was really out nothing other than the time it took to read it. Which wasn’t much time at all; because as it turns out I haven’t read a paranormal romance book in forever and I found... more myself really missing it. However there were parts of this book that just didn’t compare to some of my favorite paranormal books. Alternate realities that are stumbled into and out of, strikes me as an interesting but difficult subject to write on. This was a fair attempt. A city of vampires, also a difficult/overdone concept, but it wasn’t really botched in this book. Remember that time Cordelia wished that Buffy had never come to Sunnydale? And then her wish was granted and vampires took over the world drinking from humans and doing whatever they wanted? Yeah this world was basically just like that…For that A Blood Seduction gets a 3 star review and should I run into the second book in the series I feel I’ll be giving it a chance. less
