review 1: Another solid addition to the Feral Warriors series, and my favorite thus far. Jag is the main character in this book. Jag is the self-proclaimed outcast of the group, his motto: hurt them before they can hurt me. He is surly, prickly, and highly antagonistic towards the other warriors and their mates. The only one in the house he seems to have a soft spot for is Pink. Lyon and the others only tolerate Jag due to their dwindling numbers. Lyon has tried everything to break through Jags impenetrable walls of defense to no avail. No one has. Until Olivia. She is a strong woman and fierce warrior in her own right. As a member of the Guard she is no stranger to battle. She, like Jag, has been through heartache and has carried guilt surrounding those tragedies for centuries. Its... more heart wrenching watching these to tear each other down to build each other up. Just as they come to realize how much they care about one another chaos ensues. They have to fight to not only to save each other, but the only family Jag has.Likes: I LOVE Jag. He is the ultimate bad boy. I'm thrilled that he finally got his HEA. Pamela seemed to get her footing in these last couple of books. I loved the flashbacks and how deeply the author delved into Jag's psyche. I FELT his agony.Dislikes: The POV switching still gets on my nerves. I still occasionally have to reread to find out who is thinking or speaking. Also, some of the steamy scenes border on crossing the line. Reader Beware: There is some scenes in this book that border on BDSM, or some might say abuse. I understood the reason behind this, but some of it made me slightly uncomfortable. Call me a feminist, but I have a hard time with women being unwillingly or overly submissive. As I said, there was a reason behind adding this into the story, so it made it more palatable. Overall a fantastic read and if your a fan of this series, you will LOVE this story.5 Stars!!!!
review 2: Another great one from the series! Jag is a real asshole and there were times when I felt wrong to like his character as much as I do. But I think he somewhat redeemed himself, especially when he blurted out to Lyon that he is in love with Olivia before he even realized it. I don't really like the ending that much though. But I believe that the story deserves a 5-stars rating nonetheless because the rest of the story I enjoyed immensely. less
