review 1: A stellar book. The author makes it look so simple, but this is a complex, poignant story with multiple layers and breathtaking surprises. I found that I had to question my assumptions as many times as the main character did. This novel, with its cast of multicultural is a perfect example of how to include diversity in your work. The race of the characters is vital to the plot, but yet it's not a book about race. Highly recommended - but keep a hankie handy for the final scenes.
review 2: When I first pick this book and started reading it I didn't exactly know what I was expecting. But as the book went on I realized it was more of a sad genre. Now I always thought that I would hate sad books and it would be a waste of time. But reading the book Jumped In made m... moree realized that I like more genres. I was always into Sci-phi and fantasy (I still am) but know I have one more genre on the list. A plot twist happened in my book happened in my book and it was really sad. less
