review 1: I thoroughly enjoy this author. A 60 year old English family-run cosmetic company is going bankrupt and is taken over by an ambitious young, female woman backed by venture capitalists. She, of course, runs into problems with the family matriarch when they disagree on how to turn the company around. A list of characters at the front of the book helps keep track of the many romantic, devious and sometimes tragic subplots staff and family members are involved in throughout the book.
review 2: Love Penny V books.....such a nice break from trying to read some of the stuff that wins book awards these days. If you enjoy family-saga type movies, you'll enjoy her Jilly Cooper-esque novels. No big twist or psychological shocker here, just a great beach read. Clearly Vin... morecenzi is a bit of a royalist (she definitely over-cooked that element of the story to the point of pain for me) but that was my only gripe with A Perfect Heritage. Fun summer easy read. less
