review 1: I usually really enjoy this author and the book started out promising, but I found I didn't enjoy reading about cheating, a marriage ending, the custody battle, etc. I was really tempted to quit reading it a few times. The ending wasn't as bad as it was building up to be, which was good. This book isn't one I would read again - it is pretty much all about things I don't like to hear/think about.
review 2: I really loved this book initially, I loved how the characters lives intertwined. However, I did not like how the author felt the need for all loose ends to be tied. Also, some of the characters weren't very well thought out- like Emmie, the daughter of Eliza and Matt, was a truly horrible little girl! A few people have commented on the size of the book as ... morea negative, but I felt it was exactly the right length to explain the character's histories. less
