review 1: Aww... that was super sweet. I loved it and I loved that the couple was older. I get tire of people in their 50s and 60s being portrayed as old and unattractive in books. The hero was gruff and foul mouthed. But he was super into the heroine and caring towards her underneath. She had had a bad marriage for 30 some years and with him she finally got what she deserved. Even though this was a novella and things happened fast because they had known each other for years and how they were together, you really felt that their relationship was the real thing and would last.
review 2: Absolutely adorable story. That's about all I can say. Penny, thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing this! If only this would start a trend - "OA" (older adult) as one of
... morethe other reviewers jokingly called it. It makes me sad that our culture is so conditioned to not view mature adults as sensual, sexy characters worthy of romance, that a cute little novella like this one is note-worthy. Don't get me wrong, this story stands up on its own merits as a great little romance with the perfect blend of humor, emotion, and heart, but I just wish there were more to compare it with. My only beef with it was that I so wish it would have been longer. Please, Penny, write a longer one next time. I was savoring every page of this story, not wanting it to end. less

Cute. Cute. Cute! I wasn't sure that I was going to like the old curmudgeon, but I definitely did!

I loved this! So funny. Refreshing to read a romance with a 59 and 62 year old.
