review 1: The key players from the previous 2 books gather for the series finale and everyone is rushing to finish their story. The book moves fast. The narrative races at you and the futuristic concepts left me with my mouth open. Despite the sub-plots and infighting among the characters, the overriding plot line is the continued existence of the Galaxy. Will it be destroyed or saved. I was not certain until the end and could see it go either way. The Void Trilogy is one of the very few series I have ever completed. Usually, I start a series, but then see that a new book has been released and I never return. I am easily manipulated by marketers because I love the new and the shiny. This series kept my attention.
review 2: Read all three books back to back, direc
... moretly after reading the commonwealth duo. What a ride, I feel emotionally drained. Peter Hamilton is by far my fav author. The scope of these books are mind blowing, the books are page turners. There aren't enough hours in the day to read!!! I'm so glad I was introduced to this author and his books. After having read the nights dawn trilogy and now the five books set in the commonwealth I feel fulfilled! (Pun intended) I literally have created this account momentarily after finishing the evolutionary void just because I had to air my joy. I throughly recommend these books to anyone needing a hard sci fi fix which to and film simply fail to provide. My only problem now is finding other books equally as interesting with a story and scope to match. Space opera at its finest! Thank you Peter. less

Really impressive conclusion. Far more tightly-written than the first two books.
