review 1: Peter Reynolds has created a very charming story that both children and adults will relate to in a manner that is light-hearted and fun. Reynolds addresses the importance of family and being happy with what you have in a very entertaining manner. This is a small book packed with a big message. The illustrations are festive for the holidays as each page is beautifully done in bold splashes of red and green. And, the characters are done in Reynolds signature cartoon style. This is a wonderful gift book.
review 2: What's not to love about a new picture book from Peter Reynolds, especially when it is as endearing and has such a special message as this book does! I have a special shelf of books that I keep of holiday books, and I read one a night in the month lea... moreding up to Christmas. This will be a nice book to add to that collection, but also a great text to use with my students to teach about writing AND the importance of gratitude! less
