review 1: Spoilers........believe it or not this was my first in the Grace series. Really enjoyed it, would happily read the whole series. So many good elements to it. I liked the fact his wife was around still as added excitement as to when she may pop back. Continuing themes like that make it familiar and like a tv soap or something: you have to know how it will unfold. I liked the fact it was set in Brighton and he refers to several places there throughout; as I lived there so was nice to see the references. The characters were credible and interesting. The storyline was involved and gripping, provided insight into police procedures making it interesting.

... moreoint, the police officer was irritated by some cop drama he had been watching... well as a journalist I was more than irritated by the way the relationship with the Argus reporter was portrayed. Yet again, a poor effort of how people in my profession operate and write. Peter James may pride himself in getting his facts right but on this aspect he was way off target. Grrr! The book has been binned! less
