review 1: I received the ebook copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is told from the perspective of the various characters, in various situations. It is interesting that way because it is told from different angles of the story. It also had some coloured illustrations of characters in the story.The story starts out with the back story of the sorceress and it explains why she joins the dark forces.Then the story moves on to the main guy and how he actually plays an important role in saving Marithia.The story is unpredictable and as real as possible because even the good people whom you think will survive, die.I'm looking forward to hopping on to the next book to see how this war is going to end.

The author mixes in an exotic and effortlessly natural way various creatures and mythical beings from all over the genre, including elves and dragons, vampires and demons, giving them life in a colourful land surrounded by wild seas.Unable to save her parents from a brutal execution, Kassia, the daughter of a priestess and a vampire, makes a pact with an evil demon, Shindar, and fulfills and ancient prophecy, becoming the demon’s immortal agent and the most powerful sorceress in Marithia.One thousand years later, the humans and elves have recovered from the aftermaths of the wars against evil’s forces. They have formed a strong alliance, co-existing peacefully. The Demon’s name has been forgotten, its ambition no longer a threat. The dragons are thought to be only legends. However, prophecies, although long forgotten, will fulfill in their own time, and a prophecy about a boy with dragon’s blood is about to unravel.
