review 1: Matthew Dennis 9/26/14 Block A Ring Of Fire Do you think you would like a story of 4 kids from 4 cities with the same birthday born at the same time and the same year. This happens every 100 years and the people this happens to are the chosen ones. They're chosen to save the world for mankind. These four kids are from Rome, Paris, New York, and Shanghai. There names are Elettra, Harvey, Sheng, and Mistral. They later on discover that they are chosen ones and get told secret things that can help them save the world by the alignments of the stars. The book begins in rome where the four kids parents have chosen to bring them on holiday vacation. It is new years eve and they all arrive at the same time. Only three kids are on vacation at the Domus Quintilla Hotel in rome. Now you... more know why only three kids are on vacation because one lives in the hotel. One of the kids Harvey doesn't look like he wants to be there. This will change after he finds out that he is the chosen one. He is described as a lean tall beanpole with messy hair. They all make friends with the bell hopper named Fernando Melodia who hangs with them. Will you like this book? I suggest you read and find out.
review 2: If you are interested in the history of Rome, and you are interested in figuring out what will happen next, and if you are interested in kids solving a problem that they are given by the adults around them, then you might enjoy this book.It was action-packed enough that it kept my attention all the way through, and I enjoyed the characters (though I think it was kind of a press to make Sheng say "HAO" all the time). I liked the coming of age part of the story, the fact that the kids made decisions and seemed real (got scared, were moody, etc).I liked how the action flowed. I would read the second book in the series to see how the series goes. I wouldn't rate it as a literary masterpiece, but it was enough action to keep me coming back. less

Très déçue! J'espérais voyager dans la Rome antique, en fait pas du tout du tout !
