review 1: “The travel isn’t easy when you’re headed in the direction of abundant living” says Priscilla Shirer, and although too few choose to participate, she invites us to join her on the journey of our lives, one that will be sometimes exciting, other times daunting, but a ride that will never be boring. “God’s way is too unusual and mysterious for boredom even to be an option” declares Priscilla, and she promises that “the prize of abundant living will make the trip well worth it.”With each book that I read of Priscilla Shirer’s, I grow to love her more. Her honesty and transparency, so evident in her books, allows her to come across as completely genuine and very appealing. I find her writing style truly heart warming, and so much appreciate the way she expr... moreesses herself and the interest she creates as she describes events and happenings both in her own personal life as well as in the lives of others. Her description of Biblical characters and the events surrounding them within scriptural history cause them to come alive in a most believable way. Priscilla has a deep and rich understanding of Biblical truth and a beautiful desire to pursue God. She also has a wonderful gift for creating a spirit of anticipation and a longing desire within her readers to pursue God with all of their hearts. Priscilla truly meets women in a most appealing way within the pages of her books, so if you haven’t yet experienced her in this way, I invite you to do so. Any one of her books is a treasure!
review 2: Priscilla was talking to me from one page to the next. Very convicting and her own personal stories just add to scripture and help you not feel so alone. Whether you are still in Egypt, in the wilderness, at the mountain...there are so many places along the journey where you could be stuck and she shines the light for you so you can "turn, set and go" towards your promise land. I really loved this book, and the funny part I didn't think I would and I had no intentions of reading it less
