review 1: This book. This book. Oh my gosh, this book! It's romantic and gorgeous and enthralling and I do so adore a good dragon love story because dragons are powerful and wise and breathe fire and hoard treasure and love with all that they are and it just makes my heart so warm! :) I actually started this book months ago and ... didn't get into it? *shrug* (in all fairness, I'd only read a few pages, up to where Arthur meets the dragon for the first time :P) I picked it up again to make sure I didn't like it and ... DAYUM!! It's amazing, guys. Read it.
review 2: As I started reading this, I recalled that I had tried to start this book before but had pulled back; it wasn’t capturing my interest at the time so i decided to give it another try. This time i made it 25% ... moreinto the book and realized it wasn’t me, it was the story. I wanted to enjoy this book, but the ratio of dialog to inner monologue is ridiculous. For every sentence uttered, there are at least a couple pages of Arthur internally debating his desires, thinking of his poor home life and his sister or the author is including explanations of the human/dragon dynamics. Too tedious-I wanted to like this, but just couldn't. I'm stepping back (again) but this time for good. less
