review 1: ACTUAL RATING: 4.5/5 starsBOOK COVER/DESIGN: 5/10 stars. I thought it was quite tacky. I hated the font used for the synopsis. The font on the pages inside though, were cute.GENERAL REVIEW/THOUGHTS: I couldn't put this book down! Rachel Gibson doesn't fail to humor me and to make me cry. I like how the leading character isn't your typical goody-two-shoes. She was a stripper who married a rich guy - your typical gold digger - and her being, her past, makes this story unique. I suppose this is the first book I've read that has a stripper for a main character. And Ty - oh god, I fell in love with him! I felt all giddy and mushy while reading this. I love how the concept of "the apple does not fall far from the tree" is present here, seeing how Pavel was a hockey player, like ... moreTy, and the same goes for Faith and Valerie. I appreciated the existential crisis Faith experienced a few weeks after Virgil's death. The only thing that put me off in this book is that it's trying too hard to live up to its title. Nevertheless, the language used was solid and the flow was smooth and steady. I loved it. RECOMMENDATION: I would recommend this to those who are suckers for romance, and those who can't get enought of light reading with steamy scenes. I'd recommend this to readers of sports romances, too.
review 2: I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but it did remind me of another sports romance (It Had to be You by Susan Elizabeth Philipps)That book was published in 2002, while this one was 2009.There was the similar perception of the heorine as a 'bimbo', involved with someone much older than herself. They both acquire a team unexpectedly. Both hire assistants who don't seem to quite fit the part but become very loyal. I wont say that one copied the other, I enjoyed both. Finished it in one afternoon. less

Very fun book, with the addition of sports and sensual charge.

DNF. Characters were too flat and I almost fell asleep.
