review 1: The Dork Diaries Series is a great option for Tweens. Russell is an amazing author who knows how to channel her inner middle-schooler. Nikki, the main character is relatable to a broad range of personalities, and the scenarios in the books are too. The illustrations that accompany the stories are also well done. Tales of a Not-So-Happy Heartbreaker is another hit, and I hope there are more Dork Diary books on the way,
review 2: I love this kind of books! This book is totally recommended for people that like reading books written as diaries. I totally loved the way the writer tell these stories, and how the main character, Nikki, faces all these external conflicts in school. I like the external conflict she has with the most popular girl at school, MacKenzi... moree, and how she explains how much she hates and despises her. Also, I find it really funny how she always compares to other, specially popular groups, and how she doesn't have expensive stuff but wishes to have it! less
