review 1: This book is not only for leadership or management seekers it is for every person, no matter if he is school student, under-graduating, job seeker, employee, employer, manager, CEO, founder or politician. Book covers solution for every issue that any man ever faces in his life including time management, team work, family issues, job finding, stress, career selection, political issues, corruption, even terrorism too.Till I completed this book I found my self with full of new enthusiasm, the new way of looking at problem and dealing with them and realising importance of any relation whether in business or in personal life. This book has covered almost all possible scenario that any team or organisation may encounter. This book gives you brief insight of the teachings of the ... moregreatest teacher mankind ever had, Chankya. No manager or leader is complete in himself without knowing the wisdom that this book has covered.
review 2: This is a book on the essentials of management like leadership, courage, economics, teambuilding and so on. But as long as you consider it as a primer on management, it will hold your attention because it is a virtual dictionary. There are anecdotes and quotes from other management guru's.If you are a well-read Indian or a foreigner well read in ancient Indian history, the writer Pillai's prescriptions will make sense. Chanakya succeeded in carving his name in Indian history by the time of Alexander the Great's invasion of Asia. Chanakya is to India what Machiavelli is to Europe. You shouldn't be distracted by Pillai's repetitive style nor his Indianisms; they add aroma to his work. The book is definitely the put-downable several times type, but it's like giving up cigarette 'so many times' less
