review 1: Review for Mate of Her Heart (Wilde Creek Series) By RE ButlerI buy RE Butler’s books the moment I learn of their release, I honestly don’t even read the synopsis anymore because I haven’t ever been disappointed. It pains me to say that this is probably my least favorite of any of Butler’s books. It’s not that the book is bad, not really, it’s just not the quality I have come to appreciate from the author. The storyline while intriguing I feel fell short on execution. I love shifter smut, read a fair amount of it. One of my main reasons for loving it is that draw that mates have to each other. That inescapable bond between those who are destined to be together forever. I like that in this book it wasn’t completely left to chance or fate so that Eveny could pi... moreck her life mate, especially since she already knew whom she wanted. Then you add in the fact that when she goes into her first heat whoever she sleeps with will become her mate for life. I have a huge problem with that aspect… and I’m sure when you read the book and see how it could have played out you will see why.I give the book 3 stars for story line and 4 stars for smut factor. It was just okay for me… it won’t keep me from one-clicking books by Butler in the future, but I will definitely be reading the synopsis for the next Wilde Creek book prior to buying it.Review by the Head Whore at Mommy’s a Book Whore.
review 2: Excellent new series. Both Luke and Eveny are strong characters. The story line is well done, with lots of tense moments and action. The side characters were mostly vague antagonist that added to the drama without taking over. I liked that the H/h had spent years knowing and harboring their love for oneanother. When a deadline arises on their relationship, they both willingly give up all to be togther. Next book please Ms. Butler!Recommended Series and AuthorAdult read less
