Review:
I’ll admit, I’m slightly disappointed by this book but I think that’s because I didn’t realise it was part of a series that was a spin-off of another series so I had no idea of who a lot of the other people were.
Plus there was a lot of other people in this story!
But once I’d gotten used to everyone I should be okay, right? Wrong.
I couldn’t stand Tristan and it took Jules a while to grow on me. Even Randy –aka Sparks– was irritating at the start. I very nearly gave up at like 5% but decided to push through because I really do like M/F/M fiction.
So I don’t want to just bash this book because I did give it 3 stars, not 1, but the only good things I’ve got is that the sex scenes were good and I really ended up liking Sparks. In fact, I was also half hoping that Tristan would end up dropping out of the poly relationship. I know! Unpopular opinion!
Maybe I didn’t like him because he used the term ‘raspberry nipple’ twice and both times I was like ‘…what??’
Overall, I wish I’d read the previous books and series so that I could understand all the other characters and I wish that I could’ve connected more with Tristan so that I could’ve enjoyed it more.
I’d probably read another book by the authors as I found the writing really good.
