If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, one thing is clear from my feeds: I read. A lot. I get asked for book recommendations because of how much I post what I’m reading, and it truly is one of my favorite conversation topics. I read in college, but not nearly the volume in which I tend to read now. This past year, I had a goal of 20 books and managed to complete it by the beginning of November. 2017 was not my year for a laundry list of reasons, but reading was a great way to escape some of the tougher obstacles.
Because I’m often asked for recommendations, I figured what better way to do that than by throwing a bunch of them into a comprehensive list on my blog *that I should use far more often than I do.* So without further adieu, here are the top 9 books (didn’t love another one enough to add it) I read in 2017 and a quick synopsis of each! (I’m horrible at this so if you hate what I have to say, click the link and read a professionals take) Take my reactions and thoughts with a grain of salt – what I love you may not and vice versa. I’ll also include 5 books I read that I didn’t love as much as I had hoped. All further recommendations can be found on my GoodReads account.
Happy reading!
