review 1: I was so sad this story ended. I loved this novel. I was enraptured with the characters. It felt so real. Claire's past is heart breaking and I am so happy to read that she doesn't let that stop her from fighting for her dreams. She doesn't end up with the mentality that because of my past it defines my future in a negative way, so many books go that route with the heroine and it is just annoying. It bothered me to no end how stubborn she was regarding the issue with money and having the security because she couldn't rely on her family to provide or to love her. Claire being stubborn just proved how real this novel felt because what 19 year old isn't stubborn. I love Jude's character and his devotion to Claire. He was simply swoon worthy. I was excited to read ab... moreout the characters from the Assassins' series and see how they are doing. Can't wait for the next book in the Bellevue Bullies series.
review 2: Claire and Jude, oh what a great couple. Claire had a troubled past that she's trying to move on from but can't get over how her childhood was. She's doing everything that she can to save money for her future. So she keeps a secret from Jude. Jude is a super sexy hockey player for the Bellevue Bullies College team who is working hard for the NHL draft. He was a man whore but he's changing to be the person that he wants to be. I love how we see them grow as a couple, learning about each other, the sexy scenes, the interaction between them in so many different situations. Some of the things that he does cracks me up and other things that will bring a tear to your eye. He's new at being in love and working hard to show Claire that he means it.Many times I wanted to smack Claire and yell at her "What are you thinking, tell him!" So many missed opportunities that she had to tell him her secret. *Sigh* Jude finds out her secret and they're both devastated. This is one of my favorite books from Toni Aleo. Honestly all of her books are in my favorites. Every time she has a new book come out I don't think she can beat the last one, but she's a freaking genius that proves me wrong each and every time! less
