Words on Wednesday: Bizarre

“I surround myself with bizarre people. They’re more fun to write about.” –Jenny Mollen

………..I choose this quote to represent the word bizarre because it shows the true meaning of this one, which is someone/something strange, different, wild, or odd. The message of this phrase is mainly to show how this specific person enjoys more having as friends people who are different or “out of the ordinary”. It also expresses how having these acquaintances have given her many new ideas of things to write about, due to all the unique situations she has been through because of them. In addition, I feel this quote not only talks about how bizarre people help the reader to come up with stories easier but because this type of friends are more fun and entertaining to be with. I personally can connect or relate to this personal passage because I feel my best buddies may seem bizarre or different to others, but not to me. This is because they all bring something special and unpredicting to my everyday life, which makes it always a new, different day.

Different types of people who are friends, making the contrasting personalities complement each other.
