Hello my lovely booknerds! How are you all? Are you all recovering from your holiday relaxation and family time and food time? I know I am slowly getting there. But it sucks because I go back to class already on the 3rd! I cannot believe this break has already gone by. Speaking of going by, I cannot believe 2017 is already over! It went so fast. Too fast. But here we are, at the end, and I have a little wrap up to do.

So for the entirety of 2017, I ended up reading 31 books. Well… technically 29, but I read one three times this year without realizing it! So according to Goodreads, it’s 31. Which is fine by me! The more the merrier!
Out of all 31, I have come across many fantastic reads, but for the purposes of this blog post, I think I’ll narrow it down to my top 7. Top 7 of 2017!
In no particular order:
- The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
- Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
- A Court of Thornes and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
- Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
- Some Kind of Happiness by Claire Legrand
- Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
So all in all, I couldn’t pick a particular order to place these books in. However, I can definitely tell you my top two reads: Strange the Dreamer and Some Kind of Happiness. Both of these reads are absolutely STUNNING and the writing is INCREDIBLE and the STORIES. GUYS. Do yourself a favour and read these two. Some Kind of Happiness is a middle grade, but it is the most beautiful middle grade I’ve ever laid my eyes on. I definitely would’ve loved to read it as a child, but loved it so much now it doesn’t matter. I’ll just make sure to let my future kids read it!
