review 1: Although very much in the romance category and somewhat easy to predict I found the book entertaining and interesting. Like "A Vintage Affair" this book weaves into the story a topic I found interesting, portrait painting. (Vintage Affair was included vintage clothing purchases and sales.) Since I don't even like to have my photo taken it was really interesting to read about the steps taken toward being subject of a painting and those of the painter. Light but charming.
review 2: Extremely predictable with absolutely no surprises! I found most of the dialogue tedious, especially between Elle and her selfish, unlikable mother. I enjoyed the different stories of her clients but felt she dropped the ball on the storyline with her father, I thought that was the... more main theme of the book but she basically abandoned it for the unrealistic romance with Nate. It fell flat and had none of the charm of "A Vintage Affair". less
