The Reed Brothers
review 1: I love the Reed brothers, all of them. Each of them had their own unique quality. Logan with his tenacity despite his disability. Pete with his compassion. Matt with his quiet empathy. Sam with his zest for life. But I have the utmost respect for Paul's character. Because of him, his brothers grew up strong, honorable, reliable, loving, confident. From him, they learned the importance of family & being there for each other through thick and thin. Because of him, they never felt lacking or insecure. It may have been hard for him, but he encouraged and allowed them to grow up and make their own decisions, but letting them know - making them feel - that he was always there to support them. He abandoned his own dreams so his brothers could go after theirs. Paul did everything... more his brothers needed. We read all the time about broken heroes/ heroines because of something that happened in their past. In fact, the girls in this series were no exceptions. They had issues and the Reeds helped them get over it. Why were they able to do that? How come their mother's death and their father's disappearance while still so young didn't damage them? Because Paul made sure he was there for his brothers. It was a good thing he had these traits and experiences, because he wanted to be everything that Friday needed too. Friday with her secrets, her pains, her issues, hidden behind her snarky attitude & strong facade. She had been working with the Reeds for four years, and secretly held a torch for Paul, but never really acted on it because these boys were all she had and she didn't want to rock the proverbial boat. She was fiercely protective of these boys, not because of her feelings for Paul, but because she saw what a great family was through them. Will they finally act on their feelings and give themselves a chance to get their happily-ever-after? Read and find out! One thing I can say is that when the Reed boys love, they love hard.Hoping for Sam's story soon..
review 2: I just love this series, but had a difficult time giving this one 4 stars. I loved Paul all throughout this series and was anxious to hear his story. I think I would have rather he ended up with Kelly (his baby mama) than Friday. She just annoyed me and I can't pinpoint why. She was obviously selfless based on the huge responsibility she took on for her friends, Cody and Garrett. At one point in the book she thinks Paul deserves more than her and I agreed!!!! He was just so accepting of the circumstances which made it a little hard to believe.BUT because it's the Reed Brothers, I will stick with the 4 stars, as I really love this series! So looking forward to Sam's story now! less
