review 1: I give this book a 4.9 stars if possible. I would have given this book a full 5 stars if not for the fact that I personally don't want to read about a couples first marriage night in detail! Very unlike Austen. However, that having be said this novel was excessively diverting! The story line was genius!! The love triangle and jealously quite believable - I loved it! Confession.. I am obsessed with Darcy and Elizabeth novels but this book made me obsessed with Georgiana and the man she loves! I won't tell you which of the two it is as you'll have to read it for yourself but I would love to read a sequel that just focuses on the two of them! Truly a good read (omitting a chapter).
review 2: This was a beautiful and eloquently written piece of work, and I thorough... morely enjoyed it. The agony between the two main characters is almost palpable and I felt for them both. The second to last scene is a bit risque but was classy and appropriately sweet and sexual. It was like reading chocolate. I admire the control the author has in balancing detail while maintaining a sense of propriety. Lovers of Jane Austen will adore this novel! less
