Honestly, I was worried about changing policies at work about sick leave, so I can no longer sleep this morning ahead of overtime today; I bought an “Initial D Ugly Sweater,” for “next Friday… Ugly Sweater Day,” since my colleagues tell me my sweaters flatter me.
Mentioning this allows me to segue into “Gamble Rumble,” my favorite song at the moment — from ‘Initial D: Best Song Collection 1998-2004,’ this Eurobeat is somewhere between “‘Perfect Strangers’ Original Theme” and “‘Doc Hollywood’ Theme Song” and first heard in ‘Initial D: Third Stage,’ and is the first track on my current mix CD.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before he endured the cross, despising the shame, (Hebrews 12:1-2) and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
