A F.R.E.A.K.S. Squad Investigation
review 1: Really great second book in the F.R.E.A.K.S. series. Bea, an ordinary woman with paranormal abilities, makes extraordinary decisions when fighting the supernatural baddies. The book is nonstop action and suspense, while still being humorous (great S&M club scene!). Despite the suffering and gore, Jennifer Harlow imbues her characters with so much heart...and a large pair of cojones for Bea. Can't wait for the next book.
review 2: Bea is no ordinary teacher but after nearly killing her brother (he is a lout), she is recruited by the F.R.E.A.K.S Squad. A secret branch of the FBI because Bea can move objects and people with her mind. She is placed with others who also have extraordinary skills and she finds out that vampires, werewolves, ghouls and others are rea
... morel and they want her to help defeat the baddies. Adding humor, romance and kick ass bloody gory fight scenes, Jennifer Harlow has created the utlimate paranormal urban fantasy series. Bea is tentative at first and realistically afraid. My God, who wouldn't be? But make her angry or mad and she can kick-ass with the best of them and sometimes even better. Throw in possible romance interests of Will, a werewolf and Oliver a vampire and you are in for one heck of a ride. I love this series because it it so irreverant and colorful. I want more of Bea and her partners. less
