Okay, I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for fantasy. And no, all my life, however old I get, I will never stop.

So this time, the book I want to write about is ‘A Temptation of Angels’ by Michelle Zink.
Known for his popular series, the ‘Prophecy of the Sisters’, the author is famous for his simple writing and understandable and relatable stories.
Despite the fact that it a story set in a whole new world, the author makes it familiar and relatable.

The Book follows the story of Helen, who is woken up one day to witness her parents being murdered right in front of her. She is thrown into a brand new world of magic, action, and heartbreak. She learns about an organization that controls the balance between the Evil and the Good, and made known to the fact that she lives in a world where she is an angelic descendant and she along with two others of her kind face the responsibility of protecting the past, the present and the future. Helen is caught in a brand new life of magic, romance and fantasy.
The way Helen acts and reacts in every situation she is put in, is something that we can all draw inspiration from. Everyone of us faces hardships in life, but giving up then is something we mustn’t do! The story teaches us just this, in a beautiful, yet subtle way.
Michelle does a splendid job of putting it forth beautifully. The author makes sure that despite the story being a very complex one, there is no confusion or chaos happening.
The other thing I loved about this book is how well the author has been able to express the emotions of the character.
With a beautify story line, petite structure, and creative characters and story line, this book is a must read for any fantasy lover.
I happily give it a 4 out of 5.
