AHJ – Yours to Keep – Indie Album Review (Day 8)

The Good:

The first 4 tracks, 101, Scared, Holiday.

AHJ’s guitar riffs.

AHJ’s voice. How does everyone in The Strokes know how to sing??

Vintage aesthetic (not sound related)

The Bad:

Blue Skies, Call an Ambulance, the last 3 tracks.

These tracks are very boring and nondescript. It’s the “Meh, Indie” effect. SKIP.

“Hard to Live in the City” literally repeats “hard to leave in the city” a dozen (12) times.

Consensus: Good indie music. AHJ can play guitar. Only good vibes.

Recommend: Yes!

Nice for: A mellow day at the beach or an uplifting road trip on a sunny day.
