What is it?

The 1981 horror comedy film An American Werewolf In London that directed by the director John Landis and stars David Naughton, Jenny Agutter and Griffin Dunne.

What is it about?

This is how Metacritic describes this movie:

Blending the macabre with a wicked sense of humor, director John Landis (National Lampoon’s Animal House) delivers a contemporary take on the classic werewolf tale in this story of two American tourists who, while traveling in London, find their lives changed forever when a vicious wolf attacks them during a full moon.

Final Thoughts

I finally got to see this film thanks to my brother GC who likes werewolves, I usually see it listed as one of the best werewolf films of all time, and I think that it held up pretty well for a movie this old.

I liked Jenny Agutter’s performance as the character Nurse Alex Price, but I did not like how the movie ended abruptly to out-of-place music during the ending credits.

The end,

-John Jr
