Archive: Horror Movie Month, October 29, 2017

For our last (horror themed) movie Sunday, we watched underrated/underappreciated horror movies and unlike the rest of the weeks…. this was not at all disappointing.

First up was an indie movie out of Scotland called Let Us Prey starring Game of Thrones’ Onion Knight, Davos Seaworth. A Constable’s first night on the job turns violent when a strange man is taken into custody. It seems that everyone in town, including the police, have sins to hide and the strange man in cell six wants them to face retribution. The build of this movie was nearly perfect. They never really take the pressure off and the pacing was great. This movie keeps you asking questions until the final shot. We give it 3 better battering rams out of 5 than you would think ()

There’s not much to say about the next one, Triangle. It’s Groundhog Day on a cruise ship with deadly consequences. The plot keeps twisting the knife when you think they’ve taken the pressure off. Speaking of knives, our rating is 3 out of 5 knives to a gun fight

The next movie features a French accented Pierce Brosnan and an entirely silent Adam Ant. Nomads was definitely a lovely surprise (for me…. my dad already saw it and loved it) Mr. Brosnan plays a French anthropologist who becomes obsessed with what appear to be a gang of punk ne’erdowells, led by the aforementioned Adam Ant (who is no goody two shoes
