P!nk is back bringing Beautiful trauma.
It’s her seventh album, and it’s more mature, bit more on the heartbreak side. It’s an album with a story that goes on and shines a different light from song to song, making it perfect for a movie (or better Grey’s anatomy) soundtrack (even the title fits).
Alice through the looking glass single “Just like Fire” was perfect intro into this release that came much later.
It takes couple of listens for it to set in, and kick you with all power this Beautiful trauma brings. You could only get a glimpse from first single “What about us”, but that’s how all P!nk singles are, a world of it’s on inside of the story that album holds.
Overall the songs are more calm, with piano and her voice leading the story like in “But we lost it” and closing track “You get my love”.
On this release you won’t find anthems like “So What” or “Stupid Girl”, but songs that will always remain in special place in your heart. This are the songs to fall in love with, to live through rough brake up, or just to accompany you through rainy day, throwing rays of sunlight on your path. This is the album you’ll gladly return to, over and over through the years, listening from first to last track without skipping.
There’s more down than up beat songs, but nevertheless those few is enough to dance to it. “Secret” is one of those up-beat songs that will be ruling dance-floors. Just wait and see.
Once again P!nk proved that she’s a master of her trade.
