Originally written as the theme song for the movie Say Anything, but rejected. A severely underwhelming Soft Rock power ballad written and performed by the writer-director’s wife was utilized instead:
Come to think of it, perhaps this Smithereens number was a bit too aggressive to be the theme song for a love story.
