So this is the sequel to Command Me, book 2 of 7 in the series. Let’s begin.
SynopsisNew York Times and USA Today Bestselling Book
Alexander had the world at his feet and me on my knees until secrets tore us apart.
I should stay away from him. I should run. But I’m addicted to him…to the pleasure and the pain.
He warned me about his dark side…about his past. But I have a dark side, too. Together we’ll conquer our demons…if we don’t destroy each other first.
Love doesn’t always conquer all, but it can Conquer Me.

ReviewOkay, this picks up a bit after the ending of Command Me. We get a little bit more of Aunt Jane and definitely more Clara and Alexander.
Belle, while her intentions were in the good place, actually ends up hurting Clara. Clara is still in love with Alexander. (After all, this is a romance novel-slash-series.) Okay, I didn’t really have an accent for Alexander in my mind because I haven’t really been around English people. But listening to the audiobook, his voice is definitely not how I pictured it, maybe a little bit like Matthew Macfadyen in the 2007 version of Pride & Prejudice.
I kind of wish there was more of the letters actually written out in the novel. But damn! Alexander had it just as bad, if not worse, than Clara. Those two are something special, that’s for sure.
You guys, there’s so much drama in this novel! There’s the Belle and Clara drama at the beginning. There’s the whole Daniel thing. Clara’s parents and their issues. I almost forgot about Edward and Clara’s sister. I’m glad things work out for some of these characters. At least partially.
There’s a whole conspiracy going on, I really can’t handle it. Thank goodness Alexander finally figured out what happened that night. But wow, this was kind of unexpected. Clara is kind of a baddie. So is Belle, I’m really glad those two have one another. Especially after the whole Phillip thing, although I didn’t really like him to begin with.
Enjoy!
